Mustaches, Golden Doodles, and Etsy – Week One

Who would have known a mustached Grant Flicek would make such a good looking model?

It was a fun week of social media marketing, updating selling platforms, shipping out packages, hiring four-legged employees, and much more. But, the highlight of my week was the photos from my good friend Grant, who took a break from fighting on the front lines as an E.R. nurse to be HSP’s number one model.

I’m having a lot of fun with all of this and taking advantage of having time. I’m not sure if the social media updates will come as frequent when I make the return to a consistent work schedule, but we will cross that bridge when it gets there. It was enjoyable reaching out to people and starting new socials on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. What’s next? This week I’m thinking about tiptoeing into the world of TikTok :) That will be an adventure of its own.

It was an awesome experience to see the first online orders trickle in this week. Fulfilling those orders and making post office runs is always a daily treat. Speaking of treats, I got some great help from a good boy who got some training in packing and delivering orders. It takes a whole lot longer than a week or even months to build a consistent stream of orders in the e-commerce world. So, I’ll have to practice patience. It has also been fun to work on bulk orders and get quotes and estimates out to people with organizations and events, as well.

I can’t say thank you enough to those of you supporting the leap of faith in really taking this thing public and getting the word out. Every order, like, share, and click gives a little more motivation to keep going. Please continue to help spread word out, and I’ll keep working to make this thing a success.
